A cathartic celluloid journey through six unprecedented years in England – from Brexit and the Grenfell fire to Black Lives Matter protests and Covid-19. What began as a simple document of trades and traditions evolved into a complex and enchanting portrait of contemporary Britain, charting some of the most seismic events in recent history. Shot on 16mm, Mirrors is a lucid diary and poetic map, a journey across an island - its relationships, customs, rifts and bonds, spanning the personal and the political, the historic and the intimate.
